The Analog Devices ADG5434BCPZ-REEL7 is a quad single-pole double-throw (SPDT) analog switch with a latch-up proof construction, supplied in a 20-pin surface-mount package on tape and reel. It carries four independent non-inverting channels with a typical on-resistance of 14 Ω to 16 Ω and a -3 dB bandwidth of 140 MHz, controlled through a parallel logic interface. The ADG5434BCPZ-REEL7 runs from a single supply up to 40 V or dual supplies from 9 V to 22 V, draws no more than 55 µA, and operates from -40°C to 125°C.
High-voltage analog switches are used to route or multiplex analog signals under digital control in instrumentation and data acquisition front ends, where the signal can swing close to the supply rails. Latch-up proof construction matters in designs that see supply sequencing faults, hot-plug transients, or overvoltage on the signal pins, because a conventional junction-isolated switch can latch and stay conducting.
