The San Disk SDINBDG4-8G-ZAT2 is an 8 GB automotive-grade eMMC 5.1 device with an 8-bit data bus, supplied in a 153-ball FBGA package and clocked to 200 MHz. It operates from a 2.7 V to 3.6 V supply and is rated across a -40 C to +105 C automotive temperature range. eMMC is managed NAND: the controller in the package handles wear leveling, ECC and bad-block management, so the host sees a standard block device. The SDINBDG4-8G-ZAT2 belongs to San Disk's Automotive series.
Automotive-grade eMMC is used for boot, firmware, map and log storage in vehicle electronics: infotainment head units, instrument clusters, telematics control units, ADAS and camera modules, and gateway ECUs. The -40 C to +105 C rating and automotive qualification are the differentiators over commercial eMMC, since these modules face thermal cycling and long service lifetimes that consumer parts are not specified for. The 153-ball FBGA is the industry-standard eMMC footprint, which simplifies second-sourcing. Buyers are automotive tier-one suppliers, transportation and heavy-equipment electronics makers, and industrial OEMs that adopt automotive grades for reliability margin.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
