The S34ML02G100TFI000 is a Sky High Memory 2Gb SLC NAND flash device with a parallel interface, supplied in a 48-pin TSOP package. NAND flash of this type is raw, unmanaged memory, so the host controller performs ECC, wear leveling and bad-block management. The S34ML02G100TFI000 operates from a 3.3V supply over a 2.7V to 3.6V range and is rated from -40C to 85C.
Small-density parallel SLC NAND is used for boot code, firmware and configuration storage in embedded systems: routers and switches, set-top boxes, industrial controllers, printers and automotive modules. SLC stores one bit per cell, which gives higher endurance and better data retention at temperature than multi-level alternatives, so it is chosen where the code image must survive the product's full service life.
