The NVIDIA (Mellanox) MMS4A00-XM is a twin-port DR4 parallel optical transceiver supporting up to 1600Gb/s in an OSFP form factor. It operates at 1311nm over single-mode fiber (SMF) for links up to 500m using dual MPO connectors. With 33.5W power dissipation, it is built for high-density, high-bandwidth data-center networking.
This transceiver is used in hyperscale and AI/HPC data centers to interconnect switches and servers at 1600Gb/s over single-mode fiber. Network architects deploy it for high-bandwidth parallel optical links spanning up to 500m between racks and rows.
