The Broadcom 05-50148-00 is a MegaRAID 9540-2M2 storage controller with a PCIe 4.0 x8 host interface and two M.2 device slots, based on the SAS3808 processor. It supports RAID levels 0 and 1 plus JBOD mode, in a low-profile form factor. It operates from 0°C to 55°C with a greater than 5-million-hour MTBF.
This MegaRAID controller adds hardware RAID 0/1 mirroring or JBOD across two M.2 drives in servers, providing boot-drive redundancy and storage management. It is used in data-center and enterprise systems where reliable, hardware-managed boot or cache storage is required.
