The GD25Q64ESIGR is a 64Mb serial NOR flash memory from Giga Device with an SPI interface, organized as 8M x 8 for 8MB of storage on an 8-bit data bus. NOR flash provides random byte-addressable reads, which allows a host to execute code directly from the device and makes it the usual store for boot and firmware images. The GD25Q64ESIGR is supplied in an 8-pin SOIC surface-mount package.

Serial NOR flash in an 8-pin SOIC is the default firmware store on a very wide range of boards, holding bootloaders, MCU application images, FPGA configuration bitstreams, and non-volatile settings. Designers choose the SPI serial form because it costs only a few pins and a small footprint while still supporting execute-in-place operation. The GD25Q64ESIGR sits at a density commonly used by networking gear, consumer devices, industrial controllers, and PC and server platform firmware. Buyers are typically embedded and networking OEMs, module vendors, and contract manufacturers.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
