The NVIDIA MCP1600-C003E30L is a 3 m passive direct attach copper cable with QSFP28 connectors on both ends, rated for 100GbE Ethernet. Carrying the Mellanox brand, it uses a copper conductor construction with a low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) PVC jacket and a 35.5 mm minimum bend radius. The MCP1600-C003E30L is rated for 0°C to 70°C operation and is supplied individually.
Passive DAC cables provide the lowest-cost, lowest-power, lowest-latency way to make short 100GbE links inside a rack, because they carry the electrical signal directly with no optical transceiver or retimer in the path. A 3 m length typically reaches from a server or storage node to a top-of-rack switch, or between adjacent switches, and the LSZH jacket satisfies data center fire and smoke requirements for cabling in air-handling spaces. Typical users are data center and cloud operators, HPC and AI cluster builders, and enterprise network teams doing server-to-switch and switch-to-switch aggregation. Because it is passive, both ends must be within the electrical reach of the link, so longer runs move to active copper or optics.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
