The Finisar FTLC9558REPM is a 100G QSFP28 parallel multimode-fiber (MMF) optical transceiver rated for a 100m reach. It uses VCSEL transmitters at 850nm with PIN receivers, an MPO (MTP12) connector and digital diagnostics, operating from a 3.3V supply and rated to 70C. It is compliant with 25G and 100G Ethernet.
A 100G QSFP28 SR4 transceiver like the FTLC9558REPM converts electrical signals to parallel optical lanes over multimode fiber for short-reach data-center interconnects. It is used to link switches, routers and servers within a data center at 100Gb/s over distances up to 100m, supporting high-density Ethernet aggregation and top-of-rack to spine connectivity.
