The Finisar FTLF8519P3BNL is an SFP optical transceiver supporting 1000BASE-SX Gigabit Ethernet and 1x/2x Fibre Channel (up to 2.1Gb/s) over multimode fiber to 500m. It uses an 850nm VCSEL transmitter with a PIN receiver, a duplex LC connector and digital diagnostics, operates from 3.3V, and is rated for an extended -20C to 85C range.
An SFP transceiver such as the FTLF8519P3BNL converts electrical signals to optical for short-reach Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel links over multimode fiber.
