The STMicroelectronics ECMF02-2AMX6 is a two-line common mode filter with integrated ESD protection, supplied in a six-pin UQFN package measuring 1.75 mm by 1.5 mm with a 550 micrometre height. It carries a 200 mA current rating per line with 2.5 ohms of DC and series resistance, over a -55 degrees C to 85 degrees C operating range. A common mode choke passes the wanted differential signal while presenting high impedance to common mode noise travelling equally on both conductors, which is what suppresses radiated emissions on a high-speed pair. ST lists the part as in Production, lead free and RoHS compliant on tape and reel.

Two-line common mode filters with ESD protection are fitted directly at the connector on high-speed differential interfaces: USB data pairs, MIPI camera and display lanes, HDMI and Display Port links, and antenna or audio lines in portable devices. Combining the choke and the ESD clamp in a 1.75 mm package replaces several discrete parts in the tightest area of the board and helps a design pass both radiated-emissions and ESD immunity testing.
