The BLM18SG260TN1D is a Murata multi-layer ferrite bead rated at 26 ohms of impedance at 100M Hz with a 25% tolerance. It carries up to 6A of DC current with 7 milliohms of DC resistance, in an 0603 (1608 metric) chip package measuring 1.6mm x 0.8mm x 0.65mm. Murata supplies the BLM18SG260TN1D on tape and reel, rated from -55C to 125C and listed as lead-free and RoHS compliant.
Ferrite beads are placed in series with a power or signal line to attenuate high-frequency noise while passing DC, which is how designers keep switching-regulator and clock harmonics out of sensitive rails. The 6A current rating and 7 milliohm DC resistance make the BLM18SG260TN1D suited to main power rails rather than low-current signal lines, where voltage drop and self-heating would otherwise be a problem. Typical uses are EMI suppression on server, networking, automotive and industrial boards ahead of EMC compliance testing.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
