The TDK ACT1210D-101-2P-TL00 is a wirewound common mode choke with 100uH of inductance measured at a 100k Hz test frequency. A common mode choke presents high impedance to currents flowing in the same direction on both lines while passing the differential signal largely untouched, which is how it strips common mode noise from a pair without corrupting the data. The ACT1210D-101-2P-TL00 handles 115mA RMS, has 3 ohms of series resistance and a 2.5mm height, and is rated from -40C to 150C.
Common mode chokes are placed in series with differential pairs and power lines to suppress conducted emissions and improve immunity - on CAN and LIN buses, USB and Ethernet lines, and at the input of switching power supplies. They are frequently the component a design relies on to pass EMC qualification.
