The Toshiba 74LCX541FT(AJ) is an 8-channel non-inverting buffer and line driver with 3-state outputs, built in CMOS and supplied in a 20-pin TSSOP-B package on tape and reel. A 3-state octal buffer isolates and re-drives a byte-wide bus, providing drive strength for long traces or multiple loads while allowing the outputs to be released to high impedance so other devices can drive the same bus. Note that this specific orderable part is listed as RoHS non-compliant.

Octal 3-state buffers are used for address and data bus buffering between a processor and its peripherals, backplane and connector drive on plug-in cards, level and drive-strength restoration on long PCB traces, and bus isolation in multi-master or hot-swap designs. They are also common as general-purpose output expansion and signal fan-out on legacy and industrial boards. Buyers are typically embedded and industrial hardware designers, sustaining-engineering teams sourcing to an existing BOM, and EMS providers supporting long-lifecycle production.

Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
