The Monolithic Power Systems MP5087AGG-Z is a 7A, 5.5V load switch in a QFN surface-mount package. It features ±5% current monitoring, a power good (PG) output, slew rate control, and output discharge. The switch has a 10mΩ on-resistance and operates from -40°C to 125°C.
The MP5087AGG-Z is used to control and sequence power to subsystems on low-voltage rails, limiting inrush current during turn-on. Its current monitoring and power good signaling suit servers, storage, networking equipment, and computing platforms that need power telemetry. It is used by board designers managing high-current rails in compact layouts.
