The NXP Semiconductors MCIMX6D5EYM10AD is an i.MX 6Dual series applications processor with two ARM Cortex-A9 cores running at up to 1 GHz, supplied in a 624-ball BGA package on 0.8 mm pitch. It has a 32-bit data bus, 256 kB of on-chip RAM, and an extensive peripheral set including CAN, Ethernet, I2C, I2S, PCIe, SPI, UART, and USB. The core supply range is 1.35 V to 1.5 V and the device is specified from -20 C to +105 C. It is RoHS and China RoHS compliant and shipped in trays of 60.
The i.MX 6Dual is used as the main applications processor in Linux and Android based embedded systems that need a graphical user interface plus wired connectivity. The combination of PCIe, Gigabit-class Ethernet, USB, and CAN on one die makes it common in industrial HMI panels, factory gateways, medical instrumentation, digital signage, and automotive infotainment and telematics units. Typical users are embedded system OEMs and module vendors building long-lifecycle products. The +105 C upper rating supports enclosed and fanless installations.
