The Renesas PS2815-4-F3-A is a 4-channel AC-input optocoupler with transistor outputs, supplied in a 16-pin surface-mount SSOP package. It provides 2.5kV isolation, a 40V collector-emitter voltage rating, and a current transfer ratio of up to 400%. The device is RoHS compliant, lead free, and rated for -55°C to 100°C operation.
The PS2815-4-F3-A is used to provide galvanic isolation between control logic and field signals, with AC-input capability that accepts signals of either polarity. Typical applications include PLC and industrial I/O modules, AC line and telephone line monitoring, and isolated signal interfaces in power supplies and test equipment. Its four channels in one SSOP package help designers save board space in multi-channel isolation designs.
