The Analog Devices ADXL312ACPZ-RL is a 3-axis digital accelerometer measuring acceleration on the X, Y and Z axes, with selectable measurement ranges of 1.5g, 3g, 6g and 12g. It provides a digital output with a -3dB bandwidth of 1.6 kilohertz and an output bandwidth setting down to 3.125Hz, operating from a supply of 2V to 3.6V at a nominal 170µA. The ADXL312ACPZ-RL comes in a 32-pin QFN package rated -40°C to 105°C and is supplied on tape and reel.

Digital accelerometers with selectable full-scale ranges let one part serve both fine tilt sensing at low g and impact or vibration detection at high g, with the range changed in firmware rather than in hardware. Applications include condition monitoring and predictive maintenance on rotating machinery, vehicle and asset tracking with crash and harsh-driving detection, platform levelling and tilt alarms, and shock recording in transport and logistics. The 170µA supply current supports battery-powered and always-on wireless sensor nodes.
