The TXS0102DCUR is a Texas Instruments 2-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator designed to work with both open-drain and push-pull signals, supplied in an 8-pin VSSOP package. It handles two channels across a 1.65 V to 5.5 V supply range, so it can bridge a low-voltage processor rail to a higher-voltage peripheral bus without external direction control. TI specifies the TXS0102DCUR at up to 24 Mbps push-pull data rate with a 4.6 ns propagation delay, 165 ns rise time and 14.4 uA quiescent current. The package measures 2.3 mm x 2.0 mm with a 900 um height, and the device is lead free, RoHS compliant, free of REACH SVHC declarations, and rated -40 C to +85 C.
Voltage-level translators are needed whenever a modern low-voltage SoC or microcontroller at 1.8 V must talk to a sensor, EEPROM, display or legacy peripheral running at 3.3 V or 5 V, since driving one directly from the other risks damage or unreliable logic thresholds. The TXS0102DCUR handles the two-wire case in particular, which is why it is commonly used on I2C and SMBus clock and data lines, as well as on SPI, UART, GPIO and one-wire control signals. Its auto-direction sensing means designers do not have to route and manage a separate direction-control signal. Typical buyers are embedded and IoT device designers, module makers, and industrial and consumer electronics OEMs mixing logic families on one board.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
