The AD5724AREZ-REEL7 is an Analog Devices automotive-grade 4-channel resistor-string digital-to-analogue converter with 12-bit resolution, supplied in a 24-pin package on tape and reel. It provides voltage outputs in both unipolar and bipolar configurations, controlled over an SPI serial interface, with 1LSB integral nonlinearity and a 7.5µs settling time. The AD5724AREZ-REEL7 accepts supplies from 4.5V to 16.5V and is rated for -40°C to 85°C.

Resistor-string DACs are inherently monotonic, which makes them the safe choice for control loops where a non-monotonic step could cause an output to move the wrong way. The AD5724AREZ-REEL7 provides four such channels for setpoint generation, actuator and valve control, programmable bias and gain trimming, and automated test equipment stimulus. Bipolar output capability and a supply range up to 16.5V let it drive industrial signal levels directly rather than requiring an external level-shifting stage.
