The Texas Instruments ISO1042BQDWVRQ1 is a galvanically isolated CAN transceiver with 70 V bus fault protection and support for CAN flexible data rate (CAN FD), supplied in an 8-pin wide-body SOIC package. It supports split supply operation, with logic-side rails from 1.71 V to 1.89 V or 2.25 V and a bus-side rail up to 5.5 V, and is rated for -40°C to 125°C with a 150°C maximum junction temperature. The ISO1042BQDWVRQ1 is a surface-mount, RoHS-compliant transceiver supplied on tape and reel.
Isolated CAN transceivers break the ground path between a controller and the bus, protecting the local microcontroller from ground-potential differences and transients that occur when nodes are spread across a vehicle, machine, or building.
