The Texas Instruments ISO1540DR is a low-power bidirectional I2C digital isolator in an 8-pin SOIC package. It provides 2.5k Vrms of galvanic isolation across two bidirectional channels for the clock and data lines, supporting data rates up to 1Mbps. The device operates from a 3V to 5.5V supply over a -40°C to 125°C range.
The ISO1540DR is used to isolate I2C or SMBus buses between circuits operating at different ground potentials. Its bidirectional 2.5k Vrms isolation protects controllers, breaks ground loops, and enhances safety in industrial, medical, and power-management systems. Engineers place it on communication lines that cross isolation barriers.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
