The ADUM1411ARWZ-RL is an Analog Devices general-purpose four-channel digital isolator based on the company's i Coupler magnetic isolation technology, supplied in a wide-body 16-pin SOIC (300 mil). Its four unidirectional channels are split three in one direction and one in the reverse, so a single package can carry both outbound and return signals across the isolation barrier. Analog Devices rates the ADUM1411ARWZ-RL at up to 10 Mbps data rate with 100 ns propagation delay, 50 ns turn-on delay and 40 ns pulse width distortion, operating from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply at about 4 mA. The device does not include isolated power, is RoHS compliant, and is rated -40 C to +105 C.
Digital isolators replace optocouplers where a signal must cross a galvanic barrier to break ground loops, protect low-voltage logic from a high-voltage or noisy domain, or satisfy safety separation requirements. Magnetic i Coupler isolation is preferred over optical because it does not degrade with LED aging and delivers tighter timing, which is why the ADUM1411ARWZ-RL supports 10 Mbps with 100 ns delay. The 3/1 channel split matches common serial buses such as SPI, where clock, chip select and data-out go one way and data-in returns. Typical applications include industrial fieldbus and motor drives, isolated data acquisition, medical equipment, power supply control and battery management, and typical buyers are industrial automation, medical and power electronics designers.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
