The TMP464AIRGTR is a Texas Instruments digital temperature sensor with a two-wire serial interface compatible with both I2C and SMBus, supplied in a 16-pin VQFN package with an exposed thermal pad measuring 3mm x 3mm. It is rated for -40C to +125C operation. A digital temperature sensor integrates the sensing element, ADC and interface on one die, so the host reads a temperature value directly over the bus without any analog signal conditioning or calibration on the board. Texas Instruments lists the TMP464AIRGTR at Production/Active lifecycle status and RoHS compliant.
I2C and SMBus temperature sensors are used for thermal monitoring and fan control in servers, storage arrays, networking switches and routers, telecom base stations, industrial controllers, projectors and power supplies, and for die-temperature monitoring of processors, FPGAs and GPUs that expose a thermal diode. The SMBus compatibility lets the device sit on the same management bus a BMC already uses for power and board telemetry, keeping thermal data in the existing monitoring path. Buyers are datacenter and networking hardware designers, industrial and instrumentation OEMs, and contract manufacturers sourcing TI sensing parts against a qualified BOM.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
