The Texas Instruments OPT3001IDNPRQ1 is an automotive light-to-digital ambient light sensor with a digital output, compatible with 1.8 V, 2.5 V, and 3.3 V logic. It is supplied in a compact 6-pin, 2 mm x 2 mm USON package with exposed pad on tape and reel. The device is RoHS compliant and rated for -40°C to 85°C operation.
The OPT3001IDNPRQ1 is used to measure ambient light levels so a system can adjust display brightness or lighting automatically. Typical automotive applications include infotainment and instrument cluster displays, interior lighting control, and light-sensing modules. Automotive electronics designers use it to add digital light measurement in a very small footprint.
