The Texas Instruments TCA39306DTMR is a bidirectional voltage-level translator for I²C, SMBus, and FM+ bus signals. It is supplied in a compact 8-pin X2SON package measuring roughly 1.35mm x 0.8mm and is rated for operation from -40°C to 125°C. The device provides voltage translation between two supply domains on open-drain bus lines.
The TCA39306DTMR is used to bridge I²C, SMBus, and FM+ bus lines between components that operate at different logic-supply voltages, such as connecting a low-voltage processor to higher-voltage peripherals.
