The Infineon FM24W256-GTR is a 256 Kb serial ferroelectric RAM (F-RAM) with an I2C interface, housed in an 8-pin SOIC package. It provides fast, nonvolatile storage organized as 32K x 8 with a 1 MHz bus frequency and operates from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V supply. The FM24W256-GTR is an active production device supplied on tape and reel.
The FM24W256-GTR is used for nonvolatile data logging, configuration storage, and parameter retention in industrial, metering, and embedded systems. Its F-RAM technology offers fast writes and high endurance compared with EEPROM. Hardware engineers use it where frequent, reliable nonvolatile writes are required.
