The FH82QM370 SR40D is Intel's QM370 chipset from the Intel 300 Series Mobile Chipsets family, built on the Coffee Lake core family and supplied in a 25 mm x 24 mm package with a 3 W TDP. It connects to the host processor over an 8 GT/s bus and provides up to 20 PCI Express Revision 3 lanes in x1, x2 and x4 configurations, four SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, and 14 USB ports including up to ten USB 3.1 Gen 1 and up to six USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. The platform carries an integrated LAN MAC and an Intel Wireless-AC MAC, supports three displays, and is eligible for the Intel v Pro platform with Intel Trusted Execution Technology, VT-d directed I/O, Rapid Storage Technology and the Stable IT Platform Program. Intel launched the FH82QM370 SR40D in Q2 2018 with ME firmware version 12.
The QM370 is the platform controller hub for business-class mobile systems, and Intel lists its use condition as mobile workstation. It aggregates the storage, USB, PCI Express and networking I/O that the processor does not provide directly, and its v Pro eligibility plus TXT and SIPP support is what qualifies a laptop or mobile workstation for corporate fleet management and remote administration. Because the chipset carries embedded options, it also appears in industrial panel PCs, medical carts, edge compute appliances and other long-lifecycle embedded designs built on Coffee Lake mobile processors. Buyers are system OEMs and ODMs, plus repair, refurbishment and sustaining-engineering operations sourcing a Q2 2018-generation platform controller.
Fusion’s in-house quality hubs and Prosemi testing facility are fully certified to meet critical industry standards for electronic component inspection and testing.
